Samsung Galaxy Tab Series explained
Samsung's tablet range is called the Galaxy Tab Series, spanning everything from affordable, everyday tablets to premium models built for gaming, creative work, and productivity. This includes the flagship Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, the mid-range Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+, and the budget-friendly Galaxy Tab A series. With so many models to choose from, it can be difficult to know which Galaxy Tab is best for you — this guide covers the key factors to consider, from screen size and battery life to storage and connectivity, to help you find the right fit.
What are the different series of Samsung tablets?
There are two distinct lines in the Galaxy Tab range: the Galaxy Tab S series and the Galaxy Tab A series. You can tell them apart by the single letter in the name, with each series covering a different range of needs and budgets, as explained below.
What is the difference between
Samsung Galaxy Tab A and Tab S?
The main difference between the Galaxy Tab A and Tab S series is processing power, screen size, and price: the Tab S series is built for power users and creators with larger screens and an included stylus, while the Tab A series is a more affordable, compact option for everyday use. The Galaxy Tab S series has the most processing power and the largest screens in Samsung's tablet range, and it's the only tablet range with a stylus included.
The Galaxy Tab A series comes at a lower price point with smaller, more portable screen sizes, suited to everyday tasks like streaming, browsing the internet, or entertaining the kids.
All Samsung Galaxy Tabs come with Android and One UI, front and rear-facing cameras, microSD memory expansion, and integration with the latest Samsung Galaxy phones, letting you link your tablet with your phone to take calls or messages on either device. They can also work as a second screen with a Galaxy Book laptop*.
