[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to own a curved wide screen monitor and it worked. But as soon as I got the opportunity to review an OLED Samsung monitor I jumped on the chance. Wow what a difference from my old monitor. I can't believe I have not had such a rich and clear monitor before. Everything from gaming, movies and day to day tasks of my computer look sooo good. One of the best things about this monitor is how easy its to switch from gaming to my computer and even my work computer. Having everything setup on one monitor makes switching between all aspect of my life make this a winner in my book. I can't wait to spend more time on my Samsung monitor doing all the things I love.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing gaming monitor! I got this one for my teenage son that loves it. He enjoys the fast response time of the screen while he's playing his action games. This Samsung monitor was a huge upgrade from the 24 inch monitor he was using before. Colors are rich and the 240hz make his gameplay smooth. Now my only issue is getting him off the game! Definitely recommend.

This monitor is a huge step up from previous OLED displays I’ve owned. Right out of the box, the brightness is noticeably better, making it great even in well-lit rooms. The USB-C connectivity with power delivery is one of my favorite features, I can connect my work laptop with one cable, charge it, and switch back to personal use effortlessly. The build quality feels premium, the stand is sturdy, and the overall design is clean. Text clarity is much improved over older QD-OLEDs, with color fringing essentially gone, making it fantastic for productivity and gaming alike. Now, I personally prefer a glossy finish. Though not necessary for most, I carefully removed the matte anti-glare coating to achieve that glossy depth I love. Even before this personal mod, I’d rate it a solid 8/10. With the change (which I wouldn’t recommend to everyone), it hit a 10/10 for me. Whether matte or glossy, this monitor offers outstanding brightness, connectivity, and overall quality, I highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time using a monitor larger than 27 inches and I have to say I am super blown away by this upgrade. The large real estate combined with the crisp 4K OLED display makes this monitor perfect for any task. I used it for both productivity and for gaming and I feel like it makes a great hybrid. The large screen is great for doing work while at the same time gives an incredible experience for games. I feel like it isn't too big for the games I play but personally I play more casual/aesthetic looking video games so I enjoy having a larger nicer display. The 240 hz screen is smooth and makes working or gaming immensely more enjoyable. I could see myself going from two monitors to a single monitor setup with this display alone. I really have to say I am very impressed with how much of an upgrade this made to my setup. It just makes doing work and gaming a more enjoyable experience. I am looking forward to using this monitor for my new job and switching it over to video gaming in my free time from work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned quite a few monitors, and this Samsung Odyssey is honestly one of the best upgrades I’ve made! I am blown away by how sharp the picture is. The colors are bright without looking overdone, and the OLED contrast makes a huge difference. The 32-inch size is also perfect for my desk. It feels large and immersive without being overwhelming. The HDR looks great, and the anti glare coating helps during the day. Even scrolling and browsing feel smoother. I’m extremely happy with this monitor. The picture is beautiful, games run incredibly smoothly and the size is perfect. I would absolutely recommend it to everyone and anyone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor is absolutely stunning. I've been so busy, but finally got a chance to test it out and all I can say is wow! The colors, the build, the display, the quality is all top notch. Setup was a breeze and I can't wait to push this baby to the limit! The 240hz is smooth as butter and the quality and sharpness of the colors bring pleasure to your eyes and dopamine synapses. The ONLY drawback I have so far is that the screen does have significant glare. If you are planning on purchasing this monitor, ensure you are able to diminish the lights in the surrounding area, especially natural light. I'm impressed and certainly happy with this product from Samsung and look forward to enjoying this device for many gaming, movie, and editing nights to come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is absolutely everything you could want in a monitor. On both my high end gaming pc and my ps5, the picture looks amazing. The features like the Core Sync lighting, built in crosshair, and all of the different picture modes all give you a lot of control in how the monitor looks and feels. whether I'm watching movies, playing games, or just doing work on my computer this is without a doubt the best display I've ever had. Another huge plus is the size, before I always felt like I needed a second display when i wanted to have multiple tabs open, but this monitor is big enough to just keep them on the same screen. The deep blacks also add so much quality to anything I'm doing. Overall if anyone is looking for an upgrade to their setup, this is a great buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up of this monitor was extremely easy, you turn it on for the first time and it gives you a QR code you can just scan to immediately register on your Samsung account. You don't have to manually enter anything as everything is pre-populated. On top of this, you even get a built in calibration report which tells you the picture accuracy of the monitor when calibrated in factory to be pantone verified. Mine had a DE of 2.5 which is very accurate for an out of the box measurement. I do wish however it would tell me which picture mode this was measured on. I didn't expect the anti glare coating to work so well. I came from an MiniLED monitor that could get very bright, so I had to increase the brightness of the monitor when it was bright out and decrease it when it was dark. With this monitor I do not have that issue, and it's down to it's abilitty to diffuse light naturally, something my old monitor lacked, despite being able to be brighter. On top of that, having already owned an OLED TV I did have some things that I expected, which didn't disappoint. The viewing angles are perfect (just look at the image), there's no problems with noticing any local dimming as pixels dim perfectly alone. The refresh rate of the monitor is crazy, not only that but the high refresh rate together with OLEDs near instant pixel response time makes motion blur non-existant. There's one downside, and that is that is a bit of a double edge sword with the comments I have made in the respect to the anit-glare. The anti-glare coating on the monitor is so effective that there is a visible grain on the panel which can be disracting at certain moments. A full white screen and you can kind of notice it, but you can get used to it easily. With small white text on a black background you can kind of see noise around the text because of it. However, this is minor, and the new RGB subpixel layout of the G80SH means text is super clear with no fringing around it, or around window borders. Gsync works flawlessly, and the monitor even has a mode to reduce the flickering induced by using any form of VRR if you need it, although the setting does increase input lag. If there was one thing I wish this monitor included that would be a light sensor, or some kind of auto wake/sleep tech like some other monitors have, so it falls asleep and wakes up as you use it automatically, apart from that I am extremely happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **5/5 Stars** I’m really impressed with the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 32" 4K Gaming Monitor! The picture quality is absolutely amazing, with sharp 4K resolution, vibrant colors, and deep blacks that make games and movies look incredible. The OLED display makes everything feel more immersive, and the large 32-inch screen is a great size for gaming and everyday use. The performance is smooth and responsive, and the monitor looks sleek and premium on my desk. Whether you’re gaming, watching videos, or getting work done, this monitor delivers an excellent experience. Definitely a great upgrade for anyone looking for a high-quality gaming monitor. Highly recommend! 🎮🔥

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The odyssey g8 is one of my better monitor I have own. Some key takes I like a lot are the incredible picture quality when paring with my 5070 graphic card which brings amazing game play alongside the 240 hz refresh rate. One thing I feel different owning this monitor is the matte anti-glare coating which makes the monitor feel and look amazing! Other key thing I notice the monitor is very silent even under intense gaming. Definitely a good buy and recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this monitor for both gaming and watching. it’s really fast with the 240Hz refresh rate, and the quality is amazing it felt like the monitor was coming to life When playing video games. The unboxing was easy and took less than 10 minutes to fully set up, and there aren’t many parts. I love how slim the monitor is and the futuristic look. The bezels on the monitor are nice, and it helps that the monitor is 32 inches for when watching and playing video games. The monitor I had beforehand was 144Hz IPS, and going from that to this was a game changer. The quality is 10x better and way faster. I was amazed after switching. Gotta say, the pictures do not do the monitors justice. I will never look at other monitors the same.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to support my gaming PC running an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, an i7-10700K, and 32GB of DDR4. That card is a few generations old at this point, and I mention it because people assume you need the latest GPU to justify a 4K 240Hz panel. You do not. Frame rates have been excellent and the quality of the gaming is phenomenal. The monitor has never been the thing holding me back. If anything it made hardware I already owned feel better than it did on my old display. Detail is what you notice first. Textures, lighting, and distant objects are all sharper at 4K than what I was used to. OLED blacks make dark scenes actually dark instead of washed-out gray, and that alone changes how a lot of games look. On size, plenty of people stick with 27 inches for gaming and argue that anything bigger is too much to track. I love 32" and would not go back. The extra inches are real estate you actually use. In games that let you push your field of view, the bigger panel pays off. You see more of what is around you, and in anything competitive that matters. Motion is the other piece. Fast movement stays sharp instead of smearing, and the response time is instant in a way you feel rather than read off a spec sheet. FreeSync Premium Pro worked out of the box on the AMD side with no major adjustments. If you are on the fence between 27" and 32", or worried your current card is not enough to keep up, this is worth the money and will prove to you that you still get great quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up this 4k OLED 32" inch oled monitor to downsize from a 42" OLED. I love using it for both work and play as it has a crisp 240Hz QD-OLED display that crushes the gaming visuals and the crisp text extremely well for work. I love the matte display as well since it doesn't look too dark while blocking out much of the background glare. It works great for my PC, PS5 and switch when gaming! The auto switching is a bit flaky but I believe its because OSX sends a video stream long after the laptop goes to sleep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 32” screen is huge. I almost thought it was bowed, but it’s just an optical illusion due to sitting so close. Gaming is very immersive. At 240 Hz, games feels great and the mouse movement on desktop is ultra smooth. The colors are excellent. The black levels are the most noticeable difference vs my IPS monitor. I no longer have to deal with IPS glow. With this QD-OLED, black is black - not dark grey. I don’t really notice any purple tinge, as reviews for previous year’s models noted. I tested the screen and found no dead pixels, banding, or dirty screen effect. The monitor has an anti-reflective matte coating. For me it’s very useful since there’s a window across the room. It does add some graininess, which is visible on light-colored backgrounds. This monitor does not have the new gen RGB V-stripe subpixel arrangement, which is supposed to improve text clarity. It has the previous gen triangular arrangement. There is green/pink color fringing on text if I look very closely, but I can’t really tell at normal distance. At 144 PPI, the text is still sharper than the 109 PPI of my 27” 1440p monitor. One new feature, only on the 32” model, is that it’s VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500. The previous year’s model was True Black 400. This upgrade should result in increased brightness and higher contrast. Also new to this model is a 98W USB-C port. I haven’t had a need for this feature yet, but it would be very useful if you want to connect your laptop to it. It also now supports DP 2.1. This has more bandwidth than DP 1.4, so it no longer has to rely on display stream compression (DSC) to push high resolution and framerates. It also has two HDMI 2.1 ports. One of each cable is included. Another change is there’s no TV OS. It’s strictly a monitor. There are no built-in speakers, but there is a headphone jack. The power button and menu are controlled by a jog button on the back. It appears to be the same jog mentioned in reviews of other models, which has cracked for some people. I just hope they have improved the material so that this doesn’t happen anymore. I do wish it was black instead of silver, though I don’t notice when I’m absorbed in a game. I also don’t like the big power brick, but I was able to hide it. The lighting on the back is cool, but you need it close to the wall to really shine. Overall I’m very impressed by the G80SH. Although it appears to be an incremental upgrade over last year’s model, this is the best monitor I’ve ever had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor has made gaming feel completely different for me. In Palworld, the colors are so bright and vibrant that the Pals and the landscapes look amazing, and everything feels much more immersive than it did on my old monitor. The OLED really makes the colors pop, the colors are deeper, and the entire picture is noticeably brighter and more detailed. Modern Warfare is where I really notice the refresh rate and responsiveness. Everything feels incredibly smooth, and because there is virtually no noticeable video lag, I actually feel like my aim is better and I can react faster. I also love the built-in reticle feature, which gives me an extra aiming point on screen and has been surprisingly useful. Between the brighter picture, incredible colors, smooth refresh rate, and gaming features like the reticle, this monitor has been a huge upgrade for both slower, immersive games like Palworld and fast-paced games like Modern Warfare.

Been using Samsung products for years I gotta say this may be the worst product I’ve experienced. I had plenty of Samsung gaming monitors to tvs and even their ecosystem and enjoyed it but nothing came as underwhelming as this product here. I tried it for a few days now and a few days after that hoping this product is good or maybe I’m still adjusting to it, but this product ain’t it. It not as good as it describes. Not satisfied with anything with this product. I’m not happy with the performance and the quality. This product does not live up to its expectations it’s just looks and feels like a normal 4k monitor. It this was just going to be just a normal 4k monitor I woulda just looked somewhere else and bought one. This product ain’t it.

I originally gave this monitor a great review, but after spending time trying other high-end displays, I feel like I need to come back and update it. I honestly did not realize what a gem this monitor was until I started looking for something “better.” Since then, I’ve bought and tried other monitors, gone back and forth between different options, and even tried Samsung’s G80HS. After all of that, I’ve come to appreciate this monitor so much more. There really isn’t anything else on the market right now that gives me the same overall combination of OLED image quality, brightness, text clarity, USB-C connectivity, power delivery, build quality, and everyday usability. I kept looking for an upgrade, but instead I found myself comparing everything back to this monitor. I also have to correct something from my original review: I actually miss the matte coating. I originally preferred glossy displays so much that I carefully removed the matte anti-glare coating from mine. At the time, I loved the extra depth and glossy appearance, but after living with it and trying other displays, I’ve gained a completely different appreciation for Samsung’s matte finish. I wish I had left it exactly the way it came from the factory. For me, this monitor has become one of those products that you don’t fully appreciate until you try to replace it. I thought there had to be something better out there. So far, I haven’t found it. Everything else I’ve tried has involved some compromise that makes me miss this monitor again. At this point, what I really want isn’t a replacement from another manufacturer—I want Samsung to take this same concept even further. Give me a 6K OLED version with Thunderbolt 5, excellent power delivery, the same attention to build quality, and yes, that matte coating I originally thought I didn’t want. I didn’t realize how good I had it until I went looking elsewhere. This monitor really is a gem.

Easily the best display I've owned—upgraded from the G80SD for the DisplayPort 2.1 support. The deep blacks, outstanding contrast, and punchy brightness make every scene pop. The panel has flawless uniformity across the entire 32-inch screen with zero flicker, and the 240Hz refresh rate delivers instant responsiveness and unmatched fluidity. It looks sleek on the desk without wasting space, and having a dedicated remote for settings and input switching makes daily use effortless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Odyssey G8 G80SH has completely transformed my gaming experience. The 4K OLED display is stunning with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and amazing HDR that makes maps and environments look incredibly realistic. The 240Hz refresh rate combined with the ultra-fast response time makes movement feel buttery smooth, and I noticed a real improvement in tracking enemies and reacting quickly in fast-paced matches. There is virtually no motion blur or ghosting, and the input lag feels nonexistent. Whether I'm playing multiplayer or Warzone, everything looks crystal clear and incredibly responsive. The build quality is premium, setup was simple, and the monitor exceeded all of my expectations. If you're serious about Call of Duty or competitive gaming, this is one of the best gaming monitors you can buy. Highly recommended

I didn't realize how much of a bottleneck my monitor was until I picked this one up. The 240hz refresh rate makes all the difference. Everything is sharp and blur free. Incredibly beautiful colors and no glare even in my bright room next to a window with the sun shining in. Amazing all around, couldn't be happier. I've noticed no issues with color uniformity in gray areas no I've heard talk that there might be . also adware, tracking, or smart functions also. No speakers

With DisplayPort 2.1, I've experienced no DSC related handshake issues at 4k 240hz, an issue that I still regularly experience with the g80SD when connected via DP1.4.
